.NET Framework All in One – How to Install & Use on PC
Installing Windows today is much easier, but tasks like downloading and installing runtimes such as .NET Framework, Java, and DirectX can still be time-consuming.
Instead of searching for each runtime individually, you can simplify the process using All in One Runtimes. This tool installs all the necessary runtimes, including .NET Framework, automatically, saving you time and hassle.
For other related tasks like backing up drivers or performing offline Windows updates, there are tools that streamline those processes too.
How to install and use .NET Framework on your PC
All in One Runtimes contains all versions of .NET Framework from 1.1 to 4.5 with hotfixes, Java Runtime Environment 7, DirectX, Visual C++ Runtimes, Adobe Flash Player, Adobe Shockwave Player, Silverlight v5 and Microsoft Visual J# 2.0 SE. All you need to do is download the All in One Runtimes, extract it using an archiver that supports 7z format, and run the aio-runtimes.exe file that is in the svcpack folder. A really nice feature found on AiO Runtimes is the ability to automatically skip the runtimes that are already installed on the computer to prevent an unnecessary reinstallation which may cause more problems.
Be informed that by default the installation of the runtimes will automatically start in 30 seconds after running the program.
This timer seems to be hardcoded because changing the timer value or disabling it from the WinPKG.xml file doesn’t have any effect. There is however a button located at the bottom of the program to pause the timer.
You may have noticed a few German words on the AiO Runtimes interface (For example, the “Detailliert” tab) but rest assured that it is language-independent, meaning you can install on Windows systems with any language without problems.
However, the .NET Frameworks are in German, and installing them will result in error messages being shown in German instead of English when a .NET program crashes.
The Detailliert tab shows more detailed information about the runtimes such as the id, path, parameters, description, and prerequisites.
Another difference is you get to disable the specific runtime versions from installation. For example, you only see Visual C++ Runtimes in the Installation tab but the Detailliert shows Visual C++ 2005, 2008, 2010 and 2012.
You will also see two different types of Adobe Flash Player which is the ActiveX for Internet Explorer and Plugin for third-party web browsers such as Firefox.

Offline Installer and Compatibility
The All in One Runtime is an offline installer which means all the runtimes are already included in the setup file and you can install it on a computer without an Internet connection.
However, this would also mean that the package will get outdated after some time due to the constant update of the runtimes to fix any known problems.
So make sure you have the latest version before running the All in One Runtimes installer.
All in One Runtime works on Windows 2000, XP, Server 2003, Vista, 7, 8 both 32-bit and 64-bit. Previously they had a separate installer for x86 and x64 but now they’ve combined it into a single universal installer.
Poorly coded app and MS didn’t fix it also in once for all manor ! No problems under Win 7 but > Win10 > another pair of socks. When Win10 will be fixed mature & stable OS will become obsolete. MS tends to kill their OS’ses and user suffers a lot. Win 10 is a crap, GUI is a crap not to mention how updates kill user computers ! MS is making more and more mistakes > at the end of a day can happen that MS loose their user’s. Future development in 2025+ MS is making out od PC’s and Workstations some sort of “smart devices” (???) and plans for GUI is getting more and more smart phone alike. I wonder if user will want it that way. I recommend everybody for working/gaming/daily internet use of better and better Linux > is more secure with a way lees hassle and protection needs and no fuzz with all kind of well known MS problems.
Sorry to say but I’m a software developer constantly installing fresh builds of Windows 10 and there are A LOT OF VERSIONS MISSING IN BETWEEN HERE!! what about .net v2?? .net v4.2 etc etc…I don’t care about the missing newer versions but without those other versions, you’re going to have some applications not working, even a few years ago when it came out it was incomplete and obsolete…I CANNOT RECOMMEND THIS TO ANYONE, you’re better off installing them one by one in the correct order

dotNET 3.5 covers all earlier versions down to 1.0
dotNET 4.7/4.8/etc. covers all earlier versions down to 4.0
so, those “missing versions” are totally unnecessary.
Windows versions and their latest compatibility:
WinXP, 4.0
Vista/Win8, 4.6
Win10 v1511, 4.6.2
Win7 SP1, Win8.1, later versions of Win10 all can use dotNET 4.8
i have 4.8 and i still have programs and games that won’t work unless i install 2.0 and 3.5 and 4.0

Many Thanks Ray. This solved my problems, as I’ve just finished re-installing, with some difficulties, Windows XP PE.
This is AMAZING stuff. I’ve been dealing for years with shoddy .Net GP issues (created by other people in our IT dept. who don’t seem to care about fixing the root issue of the problems) and the only way around the problem is usually to either use the .Net cleanup utility (effective but tedious) or just re-image the computer entirely (overkill). This utility makes life MUCH easier. Thanks!

Perfect timing! Yesterday I installed a program that overwrote my .Net Framework files – I’m not even sure which version – and THEN suggested I make sure I have the latest updates @#?&! I uninstalled the application but was left wondering what shape the .Net Framework files are in. Now I can just run this and fix them.
